Fire Detection System
Autonomous monitoring and early detection of forest fires using VTOL drones and AI.

Problem → value
Forest fires annually cause huge losses in Kazakhstan, destroy ecosystems and threaten people's lives. Traditional patrol methods are too expensive and ineffective: it takes hours to respond, and hard-to-reach areas remain uncontrolled.
Limitations of traditional methods
High cost
Air patrols require high fuel and crew costs.
Slow reaction
It takes too long from the moment of detection to the arrival of firefighters.
Inaccessibility
Mountainous and remote regions are virtually left without supervision.
Decision
The Fire Detection System consists of VTOL drones with two gimbal cameras (4K and a thermal imager), onboard AI based on a single-board computer and secure communication without the Internet. The system operates completely autonomously and provides fire detection accuracy of over 96%.

Covering and patrolling
The patrol is conducted at an altitude of 500 m, each pair of cameras covers a strip about 1.4 km wide. A fleet of five drones is capable of simultaneously controlling an area of up to 703 million m².
Operations and logistics
The system is controlled by two operators: one controls the flight, the second analyzes the AI's conclusions. The drones are delivered to a mobile launch pad, where a hangar, a battery storage module and a diesel generator are provided. Before the launch, an express check of all systems is carried out.

Pilot test results
The system showed 96% accuracy in smoke detection and less than 4% false alarms at real landfills, confirming its readiness for implementation.

Advantages of the Fire Detection System
  • Offline monitoring without internet
The system is fully operational in remote areas where there is no communication, thanks to onboard AI and secure data transmission channels.
  • High detection accuracy
Neural networks and multispectral cameras (4K + thermal imager) provide over 96% accuracy with minimal false alarms.
  • Efficiency and cost reduction
The response to fires is reduced from hours to minutes, and operating costs are significantly lower than those of traditional air patrol.
